Use PandaVPN for Linux in 3 easy steps

Sign Up & Subscribe
Sign up for PandaVPN to get a random digital account, set your security password and choose a plan to subscribe to.
Download & Install
Click Download amd64 or Download arm64 to download PandaVPN for Linux, then follow Install PandaVPN on Linux below.
Connect
Open Panda VPN from your applications menu, sign in, then connect to a server in one click.

Want PandaVPN to start automatically? Turn on Launch Panda at login in Settings. It is off by default.

Install PandaVPN on Linux

Choose your device type, then run the installer in Terminal.

Download the installer
Use Download amd64 at the top of this page. You will get this file:
pandavpn-linux-amd64-10.4.0+26101701-1.tar.gz
Open Terminal in the download folder
Open the folder where the file was saved. Right-click an empty area and choose Open in Terminal (or Open Terminal Here).
Run the installer
Copy and run these commands. Enter your password when asked, then confirm to continue.

tar -xzf pandavpn-linux-amd64-10.4.0+26101701-1.tar.gz
cd pandavpn-linux-amd64-10.4.0+26101701-1
./install.sh
```
When you see PandaVPN installation completed, open Panda VPN from your applications menu.
If your browser renamed the downloaded file, update the file name in the first command.

Download the installer
Use Download arm64 at the top of this page. You will get this file:
pandavpn-linux-arm64-10.4.0+26101701-1.tar.gz
Open Terminal in the download folder
Open the folder where the file was saved. Right-click an empty area and choose Open in Terminal (or Open Terminal Here).
Run the installer
Copy and run these commands. Enter your password when asked, then confirm to continue.

When you see PandaVPN installation completed, open Panda VPN from your applications menu.

Upgrade or Uninstall

How to upgrade

Download the latest version from the top of this page, then follow Install PandaVPN on Linux again. Your account and settings are kept.

How to uninstall

Before uninstalling, turn off Launch Panda at login in Settings.

Remove the desktop app only

sudo apt remove pandavpn

Remove the desktop app and PandaVPN CLI, keep your settings

sudo apt remove pandavpn pandacli

Remove everything, including your account and settings

sudo apt purge pandavpn pandacli

Frequently Asked Questions

Should I download amd64 or arm64?

Choose amd64 for most Intel- or AMD-based PCs. Choose arm64 for devices with an ARM-based processor.

To check your system architecture, open Terminal and run dpkg --print-architecture.

Can I use Panda Desktop and PandaVPN CLI together?

Yes. Panda Desktop and PandaVPN CLI are two control interfaces for the same PandaVPN daemon and share the same connection state. Changes made in one are reflected in the other.

Is Panda Desktop the same as the old PandaVPN AppImage?

No. Panda Desktop is a new generation of the PandaVPN app for Linux and replaces the previous AppImage version. Close the old app before installing Panda Desktop.
